Justin W Yuen is an experienced Trial lawyer who has successfully defended clients facing a wide range of charges including murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, robbery, possession and trafficking of firearms and drugs throughout Ontario.
Justin has obtained many acquittals and stay of proceedings at both the Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice, and has successfully agreed for the exclusion of evidence based on violations of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Justin understands that a criminal charge and process can have devastating impacts on both the person charged and their family. Justin believes in building strong relationships with his Client to fearlessly advocate in their defence.

Justin volunteers and sits on the Board of Directors of 360 Kids, an organization dedicated to delivering programs and support services to at-risk-youths in York Region

Justin sits on the Advocacy and Policy Committee.
Justin acted as FACL’s representative on the Canadian Criminal Case Review Commission lead by Justices LaForme and Westmoreland-Traoré.
Justin testified before The House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights on Bill C-5, to remove mandatory minimums from the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. -
Justin sits on the Board of Directors of CSALC, a community based legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario which provides free legal services to low income, non-English speaking clients from the Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian communities in Ontario. We are non-profit and are independent from the government.

Justin is an active member of the CLA, and has sat on the Recent Call Committee which provides educational programs to members of the CLA who are within their first five years of practice.
